Just want to share the findings from JAKIM after its operation during the first 10 days of Ramadan 2010. This initiative is aimed to check the validity of HALAL licenses and the compliance of the food processing rules according to JAKIM. Hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Selangor and Kedah were inspected and the result was very shocking with 24 hotels found guilty of non-compliance. Some of the names are very popular choices for break fast dinner.

You can download the original media release (Bahasa Melayu) by JAKIM here. JAKIM Media Release – 20 August 2010
